Claudia considers herself to be and intuitive, emotional painter. Her work is inspired by her spiritual sensibilities and her own faith journey. She believes that the spirit of a work of art transcends the image and is representative of the unconscious longings in the human soul.

She thinks of her paintings as icons or metaphors of inner realities that are veiled or hidden in the physical elements of paint, paper, color, and canvas.

She hopes that her work will be an encounter that encourages faith and hope.

Claudia's undergraduate degree included two years in New York, one year in Florence, Italy and two years at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. She has taught and practiced art for thirty years.
